A few screenshots of what’s supposed to be a mockup of Windows Mobile (WM) 7 have been leaked, showing an improved finger-friendly interface. You can see the current WM6.5 above the leaked images and the difference is very telling. Small dropdown menus and buttons have been replaced by large icons, presumably for easier tapping. The calendar application is also much improved for easier viewing. We won’t know how close to the real thing these screens are until Microsoft announces something concrete. We hope the software giant won’t keep us waiting too long as users seem to be getting quite cozy with Apple and Google’s operating systems.
