NFS High Skates

According to Videogamer, EA has just revealed that the revered and immensely popular Need for Speed series has topped 100 million units sold worldwide to date. It was the latest release – Need for Speed: SHIFT – that allowed the franchise to hit this lofty plateau and overall, these titles have brought in over $2.7 billion in sales. chronological set of tournaments that challenges the player to complete a set of 8-car races for trophies to unlock bonus cars and tracks, incorporating a monetary reward system that allows a player to purchase vehicles, performance upgrades as well as repairs while earning cash by racing. In addition, each cuptournament requires that the player compete against one opponent in a “High Stakes” race. There are more tournaments on the PC version, and they are different from the console one – for example, the PS version separates the Career into two separate modes, Tournament and Special Event, with the second being optional. We saw the first Need for Speed way back in 1994 and since then, gamers have enjoyed 15 total entries on 14 different platforms; the titles have been released in 22 languages in over 60 countries, and for ridiculous numbers, players have raced over 279 billion miles of roads and race tracks (have no idea how EA knows this), and there have been 17 trillion user-generated vehicle customizations. …that sounds like one of those made-up numbers NASA likes to use.

Nissan Leaf

Dates and cities have been announced for the “Zero Emission Tour” that will introduce the 2012 Nissan Leaf hatchback electric car to potential buyers in the U.S. markets where it will first be sold. The car won’t be sold nationwide for more than two years. Instead, it will be offered where Nissan has negotiated agreements with electric utilities. So far, that list includes Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Phoenix / Tucson, and Nashville (home of its U.S. headquarters). Nissan will start taking reservations for the Leaf next spring, and hopes to gather 20,000 U.S. advance orders for the Leaf by the end of next year. That’s when first deliveries of 5,000 cars will go to selected fleets and up to 5,000 consumers in the first markets
Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

The Ferrari 612 back in April this year, it’s now time again. While the first time was in Italy with both road and track test, it seems like they are up for some high altitude test this time. It’s still hard to get any idea how the new car will look but it seems like it will be a bit longer this time. Maybe the expected KERS-technology need the space or it will just get a roomier backseat. Other clear things are that the engine still takes too much space so the hood want fit. And what the California started, this new 2+2 V12 coupes will continue to show. The new way to display the exhaust pipes, on top of each other instead of next to each others. And maybe this time they will introduce the “Insertable 4×4”, a four-wheel drive system developed by Ferrari and suitable for both front and mid-engine cars. There is still lot of time to figure that out, since this car will first hit the market in late 2011 or early 2012.
