Airnergy Harnesses Power Of Stray Wi-Fi Signals

There are people who get headaches when exposed to 2.4GHz wireless signals due to the energy rattling inside their skulls. In the modern workspace, getting constantly bombarded by Wi-Fi sources is an unavoidable reality. But it does seems like such a waste with so much energy in the form of radio waves floating around. So it’s about time someone invented a device to harness this power for good. The Airnergy Harvesting Battery Charger claims to grab radio waves and convert them into electrical energy. According to reports, the device managed to fully charge up a BlackBerry handset from a 30 percent battery level in about 1 hour 30 minutes. The company does, however, state that the charging rate is dependent on the number and proximity of Wi-Fi sources around.
YoGen Handheld Charger

The YoGen charger is designed to solve that problem as it requires only your hand action to juice up a portable device. The idea is simple: Just plug in a device like a mobile phone or iPod and start pulling on the YoGen’s string. This causes a disc in the body to rotate, which generates electric power for your device. According to the company, 1 minute of pulling is equivalent to 1 minute you charge through an AC charger. So technically, if it takes an hour to fully charge your battery. Pulling for 1 hour will do the job, too. But the point of the YoGen is more for emergency use, when you need to get enough battery power to make a flat cellphone work.
Hymini Biscuit Solar & Wind-Powered Charger

The Hymini Biscuit is a compact portable charger for two rechargeable AA-sized batteries. Aside from a solar panel for harnessing energy from the sun, it also has a fan which uses wind to recharge the batteries. The AA-batteries, in turn, power a USB port on the side, which can in turn be used to recharge any gadget you have that supports USB charging. This makes it a great tool to have when traveling, especially when you are in the great outdoors. What’s more, you can use it as a regular battery charger even without sun and wind simply by plugging it into the wall socket through an AC adapter.
