Minimizing cable clutter has never been easier with the new LG LHB975 Blu-ray home theater system which debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show. In addition to the LHB975’s wireless rear speakers and subwoofer, the 5.1-channel kit also comes with 802.11n Wi-Fi. The latter is utilized for three main functions: DLNA network multimedia streaming from remote PCs, BD-Live to download interactive Web content, and NetCast entertainment access which now includes Netflix, Vudu, CinemaNow, YouTube, Picasa and AccuWeather. The latter is a US-centric service. Another interesting proposition are its dual HDMI 1.3 inputs for A/V receiver-like capability to switch between two HD decks such as game consoles and settop boxes for surround sound playback.
