Samsung’s First LED Data Projector With 1,000 ANSI Lumens
Posted by admin in projectors on January 7, 2010

Samsung announced the launch of what it claims is the first LED data projector with 1,000 ANSI lumens, the F10M. The projector includes a LED light source that eliminates the need to replace a lamp. According to Samsung, the light source will last 30,000 hours and that the LED light source maintains its brightness over the entire life of the projector. From an environmental standpoint, according to Samsung, eliminating the bulb–which contains mercury filaments dramatically reduces the negative environmental effects associated with their disposal. The LED also maintains its brightness compared with other projectors that lose up to 50 percent during the life of the bulb, according to Samsung. The F10M comes equipped with PC-free File Viewer that lets presenters work directly from a USB memory stick on Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF documents in their native file format. Also, closed captioning and digital focus features add to the F10M’s versatility.
F10M key specifications:
* Brightness of 1,000 ANSI lumens from LED-based data projector
* LED light source rated at 30,000 hours of life
* XGA (1,024 x 768 pixels) native resolution
* Image size ranging 40-300 inches
* HDMI input, along with PC (VGA) connectivity
* 11.7 x 10.6 x 3.5 inch
* 9.9 pounds
* Closed captioning
World’s First One Body 3D Projection System
Posted by admin in projectors on January 2, 2010

The LG CF3D is touted by the Korean company as the world’s first one-body 3D projector in the face of most rival solutions that employ two light cannons. The former’s secret is a pair of SXRD optics which generate floating images when the projection is viewed using passive 3D glasses. According to LG, this design also allows the 1080p-resolution CF3D to achieve a high 2,500 ANSI lumens and 7,000 contrast output for its class. No launch detail was available at the time of this post.

ViewSonic’s 120Hz 3D-Ready Projector
Posted by admin in projectors on November 28, 2009

ViewSonic has announced three feature-packed multimedia projectors designed for the educational, corporate and gaming markets. Its DLP-based PJD6211, PJD6221 and PJD6381 offer 120Hz fast refresh rate and are compatible with stereoscopic 3D technologies using Texas Instruments’ DLP Link and Nvidia 3D-Vision solutions. These capabilities allow 3D pictures to be projected from a single beamer out-of-the-box without requiring any additional special polarizer, filter or screen. In addition, the PJD6381 has the shortest throw distance in its class and is capable of casting a 50-inch projection from only 0.68m. This, when coupled with its high 2,500 lumens brightness, makes it ideal for interactive whiteboard application in lit classrooms and offices. Other standard features also include Ethernet networking for remote administration, dual PC inputs and extended lamp life up to 6,000 hours.
