Automobile tuner Kourosh Mansory have recently completed their customization for the Rolls Royce Ghost. MANSORY Rolls Royce Ghost is one of the Mansory great works in combining precious materials with elaborate performance, individual appearance and stylish interior refinements. The striking parts of the individualization of the MANSORY Ghost are the varnish in Gold and Blue, the modified radiator grill, the side skirts, the stainless steel sheeting, the rear spoiler and the rear skirt with the indicated diffuser and the two-pass end pipes of the double sport exhaust system, the enlarged bi-turbo chargers, and the optimization of the control electronics as well as the sports manifold and the sports catalysers. Refined with the same golden varnish as the exterior are the monoblock rims that measure 22 inches, 9 inch wide wheels carry the high-performance tyres Dunlop SP SportMaxx in the dimension 265/35 at the front axle, and 10.5 inch wide wheels are fitted with tyres in the dimension 295/30 at the rear. To extend, large parts of the Ghost’s interior are covered by leather with diamond-quilted ornaments and are completed by an ultra-suede lining from the roof line to the dashboard.

Instead of serial 570 hp (420 kW), the Ghost’s engine refined by MANSORY now renders phenomenal 720 hp (530 kW) at 5,850 r.p.m. The MANSORY engineers catapult the maximum torque from 780 to 1,020 Newton metres. As a result, the Ghost’s engine can accelerate the 2,360 kg of the car from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds. It is half a second faster than the serial version.

Volkswagen Sharan

Unveiled at the 80th Geneva International Motor Show last month, the third generation Sharan is the company’s first MPV range to be designed by Walter de Silva (Group Chief Designer) and Klaus Bischoff (Brand’s Chief Designer) based totally on the new Volkswagen design DNA matrix. This completely new generation of Volkswagen Sharan is equipped for the first time with sliding doors in the back and will again be available with four-wheel drive (Sharan 2.0 TDI 4Motion with 140PS). The new Sharan presents four frugal engines. The Sharan’s four direct injection turbo petrol (TSI) and turbo diesel (TDI) engines are up to 21 percent more fuel-efficient! The two TSI engines deliver 110kW / 150PS and 147kW / 200PS, while the TDIs develop 103kW / 140PS and 125kW / 170PS. With power outputs of up to 170PS the engines use a start-stop system and energy recuperation (recovery of kinetic energy, which gets temporarily stored in the battery).

With average consumption of 5.5 litres per 100km (51.4 mpg, 145g/km of CO), the 140PS version of the Sharan 2.0 TDI – top speed 194 km/h (119 mph) – sets a new benchmark for fuel efficiency in this segment of the market! The theoretical driving range is correspondingly impressive: 1,273 kilometres (805 miles) from its 70 litre fuel tank. Both TDIs are also fitted with an SCR catalytic converter (SCR = selective catalytic reduction), which specifically eliminates oxides of nitrogen (NOx). For the first time, all of these Euro-5 engines will be available in combination with Volkswagen’s agile and efficient direct shift gearbox (DSG) systems – the automatics of the new age! In the case of the 200PS TSI, DSG comes as standard. The new Sharan will be available in three equipment versions: Trendline (base version), Comfortline (mid-level version) and Highline (the most exclusive version). It will be sold in nine different colours. The standard configuration is initially a five-seater. However, there will also be a ‘6-seater pack’ and a ‘7-seater pack’. In addition to the three equipment versions, special options are also available to satisfy customers’ individual demands.

Designed by Volkswagen Individual, the 2011 Volkswagen Golf R is equipped with standard Bi-Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights. Shifted manually or by optional DSG. At 199 kW / 270 PS it is the most powerful version of the model series ever built. The Golf R sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. The Golf R performs even better when shifted with the optional direct shift gearbox (DSG): It leaves the 100-km/h mark behind it in a sensational 5.5 seconds. The new Golf R only needs 8.5 litres – 2.2 litres less! Accordingly, CO2 emissions are reduced from 255 to 199 g/km. After 100 kilometres, the automatically shifted Golf R DSG is filled with just 8.4 litres (195 g/km CO2) at the fuel pump.

The turbo four-cylinder direct injection engine of the new Golf R transfers 350 Newton-meters torque to the crankshaft, also available from 2,500 rpm, but it can maintain this peak value up to 5,000 rpm. The new Volkswagen Golf R have a top speed of 250 km/h. Available as an option is DCC dynamic chassis control whose character was fully tuned to the Golf R. This system continually adapts suspension damping to the roadway and driving situation. In addition to the standard “Normal” mode, the driver can manually activate a “Sport” or “Comfort” mode.
